Xantia - Hydraulic pump issue

The HP pump started to leak, I think it is part #3 in the diagram.



Any pre-cautions when taking the pump apart ? What makes me worry is that I cannot hear the pressure regulator ticks ? Can this be related to the leaking pump ? On top of this from time to time a rapid “Tick , Tick, Tick …” can be heard from the pump ? Are these “Ticks” normal ? What can be the reason that I cannot hear the pressure regulator ticks ? Does it mean that the pump does not build enough pressure ? What other pump failures can be but the leaks “

first thing to check is how tight the three bolts going through the pump body, there heads are behind the pulley,

these bolts can work loose

depends on how frequent they are

It varies between couple of seconds to tens of seconds

it could either be your accumulator sphere is flat or low on gas,
or maybe the pump is sucking air at the leaking joint

I juts notice that when I move the manual height lever to maximum position, as long as the car raises the ticks are there , I guess that he pump is “pumping”. Are these ticks normal ?
