Set off in my car this morning and at the first hill there was just no power there - no turbo.
A bit worried as I have only bought the car recently. Is this common? Will it come back on by itself?
It's been running fine as far as I can tell with plenty of power when needed up to now.

Turbo's don't go on and off they run all the time albeit at different speeds depending on boost levels. If it had blown, the car would be belching black smoke everywhere so i presume this is not happening as you would notice it. The car could be in limp home mode hence the lack of power but you would get a warning light of some description on the dashboard. I'd be guessing you have a boost pipe off somewhere hence the lack of power.

Have a look at 'Wils' post in the peugeot section. If yours is a 136bhp engine then I think they are pretty much the same. (Peugeot 407 2.0 hdi loss of power.)
