Satnav CD unit removal

Hi guys.

I am getting an XCarLink MP3 player next week (it was posted today) after having one in my old Nissan Primera.

I want to place it above the Satnav CD-player on the little shelf. But to do that I need to remove the gubbins so I can drill a hole for the cable to fit through to connect to the cd-multichanger port of the stereo.

I can only see two star-drive screws in the way of fixings which isn't right I am sure. So can anyone tell me how easy it is to get the cd-player and the little mini glove box bit out so I Can do the necessary work to fit the XCarLink there please.
