I would say it indicates a splice or joint in the wiring harness...

And a good place to look for electrical problems. They are sometimes soldered and can corrode badly if allowed to become damp.

it connects to the system that i shorted out, only problem is i dont have a clue how to read french wire colours.

older citroens you ignor the colour of the flex and just read the coloured indicators at the ends of all the wires/terminals,

these days i think you read the numbered codes printed oh the cable's

Yes, that's correct. The wire number is the one that appears in the diagram...

The numbers can be jolly hard to read and can smudge easily if oil has ever been nearby... Often you have to look quite a way up the wire to find a legible number..

Knowing the French names for colours helps too...
