fitting cruise control

i am looking at fitting cruise control to my c8 2.2 hdi sx 2004
went to my mates,we took cruise stalk from his c5 (2nd generation)
it fits spot on in to stalk plug in my c8,grate
next we checked if i have 2 sensors on my brake pedal,and yes i do brake one and exra red swich too,thats good to
on lexia it shows stalk is operating
nex we went in to BSI and we couldent find option for cruise absent- present??
and in injection ecu meny cant find RVV to anable it?
can someone help please??
we took car for a drive if you turn cruise on at the stalk cruise control simbol comes up on my dash,but its not holding speed,nothing from it?
if you turn cruise off at the stalk it comes off too!
i have bosch ecu on car and its a older tipe 2.2 hdi where gas pedal is conected to cable and cable then to under the bonet where it moves some sensor?
i spoke to lad in scotland who works with lot of c8,pugs 807 and hes saying hes done lot cruise jobs on c8,807s without a problem!
cant get in tuch with him now for some reason!
can anyone help please,
any ideas?
