I got a "left rear tyre punctured" "STOP" warning the other day. I put a few PSI into the tyre and the warning went away. The new shape C5 has tyre specific sensors but I don't think the older cars had this. Just keep an eye on it. I had read some horror stories about the warning message having to be cleared by a Lexia (or the diagbox) but mine cleared OK.
I also read of sensors corroding and falling to pieces with the caps seized and requiring mole grips for removal. That's maybe because of poor maintenance more that design fault. Keep them clean and lightly oiled after washing regularly. My wheels get cleaned twice weekly and the sensor caps also get a dab of anti-seize copper grease occasionally. Amazing how a brush of light oil keeps corrosion at bay.
