I'm a bit disappointed my c5 mk3 does not warn me when the level is low. Unlike all my previous c5s. Is this a fault or just the way it is?
It's a 2010 exclusive

Re: Screen wash level c5 x7
Couldn't say. I top mine up every few days in winter. To be honest, I'm not in favour of the car telling me when to check the fluids. The oil level check always comes up as correct, but I still check physically about once a week. I never run the car below quarter of a tank of fuel and I don't fully trust the tyre pressure monitors.
I suppose I'm just an old codger who grew up with cars without all these sensors and I can't get out of the habit of double checking.

Screen wash is tricky to check when you can't see bottle!
I check the rest of fluids and pressures too due to being used to old cars

Re: Screen wash level c5 x7
My C5 has a screen washer fluid level sensor, I wonder whether it comes as part of the xenon headlight pack (which my car has).

Warning is available only if you have headlight washers, and they are coming with xenon lights. No xenon lights, no warning.

So I have a car that I have owned for three months an no real faults? I've never had a car that didn't have a serious fault in first three months. New or used! Whey!

Might be that the pipe has split where it comes out of the body and goes into the boot lid, Citroen sell a short length of pipe just for this occurrence so you don't have to replace the whole pipe from the pump, part no 6439J4 @ £8.46.Robert12 wrote:My rear screen wash won't work but I can hear the moter running Citroen c5 estate Tourer 2008

You will need to remove the bumper, not the wheel arch liner.
I fitted a new nearside headlight on Saturday and despite having had the bumper off and on numerous times I was having difficulty lifting it back into place, normally a deadly simple job.
I found that I had snagged it on the washer fluid level sensor and it was weeping a bit.
Attempts to reseal proved ineffective and ultimately, after cleverly pushing the seal inside, I found that I had created a split in the plastic.
New one on order, delivery tomorrow (I think, also ordered an offside headlight so it might be that).
Should have taken pikshers but as usual neglected that
