how to dismantle trim on tailgate Xsara 2

Hi,
on my xsara open button in tailgate play funny, but now stop working at all. It started when I try open it hard when tailgate frozen to body..
Today I tried get to it, but couldn't find the way how to access it. I couldn't dismantle a handlebar, and I'm not sure if I rip off 2 white clips that keep plastic trim cover would I be able to use them again.

Or might be should I start to dismantle a little dash where the switch is - witch plate lights?

Spend about an hour on cold evening, scratched plastics and failed to do it..

Any instructions, pictures? I will be grateful for help. I hope it would need only cleaning, or at least replacing contact switch..

The worst is, that my remote doesn't work, so I can't open the trunk, need to fold back seats:/
