Re: 02 sensor 2.2 hdi
Your O2 sensor will be connected to your catalytic converter, so you'll need to get under the car to find it, just follow the exhaust back and you should find it, looks a bit like this.
Check the cable and connector for damage, also check the sensor itself (but make sure you've left it all the cool before removing the sensor). Did you also run the test once the car had fully warmed up?
Have you got a fault code stating that it's responding too slow (e.g. P0133)? The sensor itself will cost you about £90 from citroen, and if you can do the above check yourself then you should be fine doing the replacement yourself... But with it costing £90, I'm sure you want to ensure it is a problem first (i'm not sure what the response times are supposed to be, 115ms doesn't seem too slow to me, but for controlling lean/rich it maybe!)

lol, it's in the Citroen service docs for the 2.2hdi. oh well, cant believe everything you read eh?RichardW wrote:You'll spend a long time looking for an oxygen sensor on an HDi
EDIT: alright, docbackup just lists the part as sensor, only service lists it as a gas temperature sensor, and looks alot like the O2 sensors. Oh well, sorry about that Bill, be interesting to hear what the actual sensor that Torque is suggesting is an O2 sensor.

Re: 02 sensor 2.2 hdi
No O2 sensor required on diesels as air is not throttled - it would always read lean! There are temperature and differntial pressure sensors shown, but no Oxygen sensor, as far as I can see.

Yeah thats the Cat temp sensor in the ebay ad.
This engine doesent have an oxygen sensor but some modern diesels (including the new C5) do have them.
