Picasso hub carrier worn

Post by andypicasso »

Hi everyone, this is my 1st post so please be gentle.
I have a 52 plate Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI, which i love to bits. The problem though is that the N/S/F bottom ball joint has lots of movement and knocks badly on cornering. It is not the ball joint itself but the hole it fits into in the bottom of the hub carrier, which is worn and is no longer a round hole. Does anyone know what other PSA vehicles have the exact same hubs? I've been told possibly the Peugeot Partner/ Citroen Berlingo vans or even possibly Pug 306. The reason i ask is that i'll have more choice at the breakers. Thanks in advance. :)

Hi Andy

Welcome!

service.citroen indicates same part for Xsara Mk1 and Mk2 and Berlingo Mk1 and 2. ZX lists a different part number - but I would expect a MK2 306 would be the same part though.

otherwise try below,
if they are close enough to you and you like the old fashioned scrappies, you are allowed to climb over the car, take bits off yourself, and theres lots of mud to wallow in :-D
