C5 MII, Jukebox/MP3

Do these have an actual hard disk or is it flash memory? Mine has stopped working, CD/Radio works fine, but select jukebox and it now makes the whole Navisystem lock up, and when i select CD the 'Copy CD to Jukebox' option is no longer selectable its greyed out.

Anybody had this issue before?

30 gb IDE 2.5" hard drive. 10gb free for you tunes.
I think it's a special hardened one to survive the temps of sitting in a car.
They can be replaced with some compact flash cards and an adaptor. But the file system needs to be the same as original inc partition sizes so you can't increase music storage area.

The partitions are fat32/16 so you could remove and chkdsk away and see if it fixes it.
If it then works I would suggest you image it to a something else.

How do i get the hard disk out? where it hiding?

I think it's in the head unit. I can't find the original site I looked it in summer when I had one.
I think it was someone fitting it to a c4
