hi my 306 cab has developed a fuel gauge fault.the low fuel warning light is always on even if i put £20 of fuel in.ive fitted different clocks but the fault is still there i have taken the multi plug of the sender /fuel pump and the light is still on surely that cannot be right if there is no power getting to the unit any

Re: fuel guage faulty
Unless I'm mistaken the gauge will read nil and the light stay illuminated when the multiplug is disconnected, from your description I suggest a faulty sender unit in the tank might be the cause.

Re: fuel guage faulty
Take the sender out, put a multi-meter on the plug and move the float up and down. You should see the resistance varying as you move the float. If not, then faulty sender.
