Xantia Hdi fuel pump.

Hi Everyone,I hope someone here can help me.My 2000 Citroen Xantia Hdi 90 has issues with with the Electric fuel pump.According to Citroen services the right pump for my car is a Bosch part no 0580 303 025,but where I get confused is the part no on the original pump is again Bosch BUT it is 0580 303 004. If I buy this pump,will it work in my car.Many thanks in advance,Jim

Hi Jim - welcome to the forum!

I've just changed the pump in mine (a 2001 HDi 110) - Citroen only list one pump, but not to say that Bosch didn't tweak it over the years hence the part no change. I bought a non-bosch one for just over £70 from carparts4less (they've got a £10 off if you spend over £75 deal at the moment, and it lists at £82) - Ok so far! Hi,RichardW,many thanks for your advice,got a new one of e-bay for less than half the price Citroen services wanted.put in today and car started straight away,also feels like it has a lot more power.Once again many thanks RichardW,your help has been invaluable,best wishes Jim.
