Hydraulic Circuit Diagram?

Post by Chlorate »

Is there such a thing as a circuit diagram that shows the layout of the Hydractive 2 system as fitted to the Xantia?

I'd say it'd be quite handy to have about - if only to get a better idea of how it all worked . Checked my BoL and predictably it doesn't have one.

My car is still bleeding, but the weather has been somewhat prohibitive of under-the-car activities lately, wish me luck for this weekend

Yes, I have such an animal in one of the manuals.

If you can bear with me until tomorrow Alex I'll scan it and offer it up...

If I forget, which I might  just give me a nudge

A good reference also is the Citroen Technical Guide. It has excellent explanations of how all the hydraulics work including Hydractive 2, Activa and Anti Sink. Don't be put off by it being on a BX site - it even covers early C5 hydraulics...

Thanks all :D

Kenny - that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for :D I think I can use a bit of deduction to work out the French legend at the bottom

Jim - That Citroen guide looks very interesting indeed, I'll definitely give that a read.

I'm good thanks Jim :)
I know just about enough French to get by - so long as I don't have to speak it!

Have you ever encountered this document? It found it whilst googling around, at first glance it seems to cover a fair bit of useful information.
