Xantia V6 stainless steel exhausts.

Unread post by handyman »

I am looking to get a new complete exhaust for the V6 and although I have a supplier I have used numerous times previously, I will be looking to see who is around and what sort of deals are available.

Anybody interested a new stainless V6 exhaust, either part system or the whole shooting match. If I get enough responses, I'll contact a few potential suppliers, including my old supplier to see what deals can be done, especially when compared to the cost of OE parts, even at trade prices! :shock: PM me if interested.

I don't know if this is suitable;

although I may have mis-interpreted your post.

I'm interested HM, so long as it's quiet and will last the life of the car...

Can't be doing with a noisy one.

Hi Jim, my regular supplier uses a grade of stainless that is very ductile and thicker than the usual 'cheap' stainless systems, that use austentic steel.

I have been dealing with him since the early 1980s and never been let down. His systems are as good as if not better than the OE systems and I used to buy exhausts for quite a few exotic cars, not that I owned them. Nearest I got was a Lamborghini that I swapped for a Roller that I then sold on.

I'll see what other contacts I get and then let you know about cost & delivery.

I'm currently looking for a duff system to use as a pattern. Know any sources?

Excellent...

Well, I have a brand-spanking new centre section that could be used as a template but no back-box and that's what I'll be needing fairly soon...

I have genuine centre and rear sections with rust holes that you could have for a pattern.

Hi V6, thanks for the offer of the exhaust parts. I'll send you a PM so we can see about how to link up and arrange a handover.
