xantia mk 1 sx: electric mirrors inop.

Unread post by aerodynamica »

Hi everyone, happy new year, Charlie Brown's mirror adjuster has stopped. The switch on the door panel no longer lights up and it doesn't move either mirror.

Manual says the fuse for this is the same for interior maplights, switches for windows etc but since these all operate I reckon it's not the fuse. It's like no power it reaching it.

So before I take the door apart, has anyone had this happen and find a 'usual suspect' cause for this? Maybe a power connection through the door?

Probably passing through the door gaiter. The big problem is lack of space to work in.
