306 hdi interior bulbs gone

Post by Welshy_Pete »

The interior switches were the speed setting and direction the bulbs have gone. But the cold heat one ok.

So I wanted to fix the bulbs and the easyest way to do it.

Thanks

If you mean the warning lights on the instrument panel, you will have to remove the panel to gain access to the lamps, shouldn't be to fifficult a job.

I mean the heater speed control and heater direction control part near the radio.

I would think the same applies, you will have to remove the controls to get to the rear.

If not done yet, it is moderately simple but you need to remove the radio first (you may need the Clarion keys (£5 a pair) which slide under the radio below the black surround (there are two slots are only about 1mm high so difficult to see - I have managed with two knife blades but doesn't always work).

Once the radio is out you can remove the centre panel surround.

Then turn all the dials (heater controls) fully clockwise then carefully prise off the face plate and dials with a penknife blade. Bulbs then jut pull out.

Reasembly is reverse but make sure dials are still in the right position, Everything else just clicks back in.

The most frustrating is getting the radio out if like me, you use knife blades. You'll do it all in the hour if you already have the bulbs
