Picture Request - S1 Xantia Petrol Rev Counter

Post by addo »

Can anyone help with this photo request? I'm keen to see how similar (and thus interchangeable) the Jaeger tachos are across a variety of models.

Thanks, Adam.

I just so happen to have a picture of the dashboard of my old 1997 Series 1 VSX Xantia, it was a 2 litre 8 valve petrol with 4HP14 gearbox. Hope that helps... :) (The LCD display in the tacho is ambient outdoor temperature which moved to the centre console in the clock on the Series 2)

Did all the S1 cars have the temp there?

I'm trying to find Jaeger tachs with just a plain dial. Possibly some 306 models will do?

My LX had no temperature indicator (no LCD panel) but IIRC was otherwise identical.

My "R" plate 2.0SXi has a rev counter without the LCD display.

Perhaps only the VSX had the temperature gauge ? My Dad had an SX but I honestly can't remember if it had temperature or not...

Yes only the VSX, Activa and V6 Exclusive had the outside temperature display on S1's.

Interesting that your speedo and rev counter are back to front. Is that the norm for left hand drive ?
