C5 Estate sinking at the rear

Post by myc5 »

Hi again, After the fantastic help you gave me with an immobiliser problem, I need your help again! my C5 1.8 petrol estate has developed a sinking feeling at the rear. When it is left for 15 mins or so it sinks at the rear!. When I open the door the pump pumps it up again or when I start the engine it also pumps up. Can someone please advise why and if its OK to drive as we are travelling away over Christmas with a load and three people. Thanks in advance :)

Undoubly internal leakage somewhere, unless you can see fluid, if it pumps up and stays there when you are driving it I wouldn't worry, the mechanical Xantia and XM systems do that for a pastime. Just take note that the pump stops running when its up.
