Who has the highest mileage?

I am curious to know who has the highest mileage Citroen?

My 2000 Xantia HDi has 156k

It won't be the most I'm sure so let's have it...

my picasso 2.0 hdi has just turned 217k...my last one a 2000 picasso hdi had 312k on it and that only died as i hammered it with low oil and blew it lol

dont think its even run in a 156k. juat took a c5 of the road with 410k on the clock and was still running well got others with 250k and still passing test 1st time

Pah, you all have babies barely run in...

My HDi xantia is on 230k, I recently took in a HDi 110 Xantia with 286k on it, still ran but with a cooling system problem.. Ive got a TD SX Xantia with 240k on it...

The highest mileage taxi I've seen was a Nissan Laurel diesel I sold, it had 35k on it when I sold it to the taxi guy, met him years later and he still had it but wanted to change it "Because it's falling apart with rust.".

I asked if he'd had good service out of it and he told me it had been pretty well faultless mechanically, serviced religiously at the due intervals and now had 1,200,000 on the clock, yep 1.2 million miles and the engine had never been repaired or changed.

Coastline Taxis obviously knows how to get the best mileages out of his cars. Could we benefit from his knowledge?

I'm a believer in regular oil changes, and ensuring the cooling system works as it should (no overheating)

It was tongue in cheek really.

I think it is pretty obvious that if you service regularly and don't drive like fool, revving it hard, clutch riding and the like then a well maintained looked after car should keep going long after it's manufacturer 'design life'.

Sadly in todays modern advances a car is only as good as the Chinese sensors they continue to stick on every concievable part

Serviced every 6 months and engine flushed once a year and cooling system drained flushed and new anti freeze/summer coolant

I would not win with my old 205 with a fraction under 200K , then again that's about run in

I did remember seeing (around 2006) an H or J plate 405D (ex taxi) that allegedly had been all the way around. Its condition did look like it may well of done.

'02 110 C5, just rolled 241k and as far as i know still on original clutch.
shuffled sidewards out the door with newer one arriving but daughter will be using so may see 250k one day

Thats another point on mine, from what I can see, my Xantia at 230k is also on original clutch.. It startered slipping a few months ago, and has stopped again, even with the trailer and car loaded on the back....

And i thought my hdi xant had done a lot of miles at 146k,s!! life in the old gal yet then!!!

Highest mileage here is our 2002 C5 2.0HDi 110 with 149,000 miles. Had its clutch changed at 60,000 miles due to DMF failure, it now has a solid flywheel. Other that that, its been very little bother.

Next highest is out 2005 2.0HDi 16v C5 estate with 95K, then Xantia HDi with 75K and C5 2.0HDi 16v hatch with 40K.

We have a long way to go yet
