NGK spark plugs

Unread post by handyman »

Just checking NGK's product catalogue for Xantia spark plugs and all it now shows are BKR6EZ for all models with later engines. This is a single electrode plug, but a multi electrode plug was available under a slightly different number, developed for the Turbo petrol engine. Anybody know this part number?

I did have stock of these but they went in the fire along with all my old catalogues!

Thanks for that Addo, I thought that was the part number, NGK UK no longer show stocks! Are they still available in your neck-of-the-woods?

Dunno! I'd not buy a plug locally unless a gun was pointed at my head. They're typically $11-$12 each for the posher ones, trade price.

French vendors are not saying destockage yet. Don't like Beru? I've had passable results with them.

Old habits die hard. Have been using NGK since the 1970s in all my racing bikes and cars, I even used to sell them & Champion wholesale, but always found NGK worked well and gave better results.

I seem to remember using NGK plugs in my Twin-Cam Activa with triple electrodes, but I cannot for the life of me remember the plug number. They and all the spares went in the fire.

If you want NGK plugs shipped to you, I'm sure Citronut or I can better your dealers prices.

I have a huge load of new, boxed Motaquip service parts for Citroens and Peugeots coming to me shortly, all popular parts. Any interest?

I'm rather keen on the NGK BKR6EIK - the Iridium tipped ones.

They seem to make a difference to the running of the XM, particularly on LPG...

I was just in Ha****** and they have a good stock of twin electrode and triple electrode NGK plugs for Xantias etc. In blister packs of 4 for £20
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Halfords trade price for spark plugs is about a quid each!

I bought a set for a V8 Range Rover for £8.50 odd.

Here's the set I put in my V6 engine for the Activa before I remembered I'd got a halfords trade card in my wallet :(

I hear tell of a development spark plug that is uranium tipped. It makes the car go like a bomb.
