copper grease - where?

copper grease - where?

Hi, after changing rear pads on my Xantia, I have found I have a squeak coming from the brakes, as I depress the brake. Someone said , apply copper grease, but where? any help gratefully received, cheers.

BACK of the pads, definitely NOT the front 8-[
usually a small smear between the pad/the thin metal thingy- brain dead, can't remember techie term!/piston

anti-rattle spring?
currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work

You probably mean the shim.

I did, yes, as i said brain fade

I would suffer from brain fade if I could only remember where I left it, but it faded!
