Bleed Brakes ?

Unread post by froggy »

Hi, A couple of weeks ago I replaced rear brake pads , caliper bolts and cleaned up trailing arm and caliper of oxcide build up. The ride is now harder , should I have bleed the brakes on my Xantia? any thoughts, cheers Terry .

I would, as a matter of course, bleed the brakes every time I had done any work on the fluid side of them. Just because you shouldn't get air (or dirt) into the lines doesn't mean you can't.
