I am planning the national in july. I would only manage one, even if there were to be a Scottish it would be Edinburgh or glasgow areas and that' still like 180 miles for me!

Davie, how about coming tot he Wetherby rally? That's a little nearer to you I guess but then again I suppose the relative difference in distance between Portsoy, Wetherby and Kettering is not really very great and arguably the weather might be better for the National...

The wind can whip across Wetherby racecourse like a knife.

Whatever, it'll be good to see you :-D

Ist leg is here to carluke where my sister stays and have an overnighter, next day carluke to crook, county durham where I have an aunt and uncle, then there to a welcome break just north of kettering, arriving there friday pm 3 nights there, and haven't planned home. Think it's just gonna be see what happens! A nice road trip and meeting some of you guys and looking at and speaking about cars. BLISS!

Now that's planned to absolute perfection Davie :-D Excellent...

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Every rally is a most enjoyable event. You've seen the X rally reports and that one is generally typical of them...

Not much to report really on the VTS. I still have not got the directional headlamps working, even after fitting the new sensor as the plugs do not match....might have to drop this car off to Citroen at some point to get that resolved

Still hunting a decent replace exhaust as I don't wish to pay nearly £500 for a custom job..

Hardly driven it to be honest in the last 4/6 weeks...I could probably count the amount of times on one hand. seems such a waste of VED!

Really annoying about the plugs not matching, I wonder if the dealer got the right one, as you know I have done 2 (both 2005 cars) & both were fine. I will have a look & see if I have the part number later.
My exhaust was from Longlife, with discount through C4owners it cost £350 inc. for a cat back stainless "standard replacement" system. I'm still very pleased with it.
Shame you've not used it, I'm using mine too much!
You can't blame the car for being wet this time!

It's a drop your car off kinda thing. I think they are a franchise, so it's good if you have a recomendation. The one in Hastings near me is HavAir http://www.havair.me.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so I felt pretty safe. the way it seems to work is that they get sent a kit with the boxes & a choice of tail pipes, then they fabricate the rest to join it all up. This is their page http://www.longlife.co.uk/why-longlife/ ... lacements/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I had a look for the receipt for the light sensor & I think I have the right one. Part number is either C6224R3 or P46393, should have been £76.68 plus VAT. Is that the same as yours?

I was qouted £365 for a complete stainless exhaust. However I would think Turriff Tyres wolld be a tad too far away from you. :-D

Unfortunately there's nothing really like that out there for the C4.

The only one I've seen is that you can get an off the shelf Sportex Backbox with a choice of styles from around £125+.

Haven't heard of anyone going for one yet so quality is unknown, but Sportex are usually quite good.
