Three plus one notch - is this standard thickness or first oversize?
Also, is the opening bounded by a bead of greeny-blue, an oilway?
Thanks, Adam.

0209 CJ
RP 96 773 997 80
CYL HEAD GASKET
CN
0209 CK
REPAR
also the ebay listing dosent state the brand,
and yes the triangula section to seal the oil way is usually bonded to the gasket, this is the usual failure on the TU lump as it becomes unbonded then leaks down the front of the block

Hi Malcolm, I have the oil leaks outside, mainly from the top cover gasket resembling petrified wood, also there is copious oil in the water, suggesting the gasket has seen better days. 385K (kilometres) and original, so replacement is a given. As there are no other failure issues (like, overheating) I don't want to skim the head.
While I've got you here, do you knock these heads sideways on a central headbolt loosely fitted, to break the old gasket seal without lifting the liners?
Thanks!
