Latest edition Visa gti 115ch

Post by softlad »

I have just added to my french collection, after many years of having atleast a couple of VW golfs on the drive, I have gone off on a tangent a bit.
With a Zx Volcane TurboD undergoing work and upgrade as we speak I have finally got a car that I have an attrction to and I don't no why.
I looked at 6 of these before we left the UK and have seen another 2 in NZ but all in pretty bad states so walked away, then one of the guys on the NZ FastFrogs forum mentioned this was for sale and that was it. I fly to Wellington on the 30th to collect it immediately followed by the 600km drive back to Auckland

Current car list is now
Citroen Visa Gti 115ch
Citroen ZX Volcanr TutboD
Suzuki Cultus Gti (swift)
Volvo 850R wagon 8-)
Fiat Punto (the wifes)
spaceframe 1.3aircooled buggy

One of those in that condition would be a rare sight indeed in the UK.

I would think it's the only 115ch in NZ. Has been owned for the last 15yrs by 1 person who was a citroen dealership owner a number of years back so its been pampered

I'll say :-D I have a real soft-spot for these. They're fundamentally a Pug 205GTi that does not shout it from the rooftops and in some ways believed to be better...

Very nice indeed. 8-)

The GTi's are very rare over here in the UK - we know of just 17! http://visaforum.freeforums.org/post8096.html#p8096" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've had a couple over the past year or so, however none at the moment. Both of these have gone onto pastures new:

In fact the second one is now in Germany! :shock:

I know it needs the head lining re-attaching which is very common in NZ so thats on the cards.
I intend to look after it and enjoy, maybe a 1.9 or MI16 when or if the lump gives up but initially general tidy with the insulation on the firewall first thing to go the prevent any further rust as the has been an initial repair/tidy in theat area

Very nice, thanks for the pictures.

I'm not sure if you are a member, however the Visa forum is worth a look - http://visaforum.freeforums.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In fact, there's a thread about some NZ Visa's here - http://visaforum.freeforums.org/post854 ... land#p8549" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
