Club-XM.co.uk AWOL?

Unread post by CitroJim »

Is it just me or has Club-XM.co.uk gone down?

Club-XM.com is OK and I've just logged in there...

For those that don't know, the .com site was as happy and thriving as FCF is
but went AWOL and didn't come back on for around two years so an alternate
offering was hosted by Ciaran in the meantime which is the .co.uk one.

Eventually the .com one did recover so there are now (most of the time) x2 forums!

Hi guys,

Unfortunately it was down from Friday onwards, ISP changed the subnet and I wasn't aware of it.

Its back up now but its possible you'll need to clean out your DNS cache before you can see it.

I'll reproduce here the post I made on the site..... the site that no one can currently see! =D> #-o
Hi guys,

Sorry for the extended outage over the weekend, the ISP unexpectedly changed the IP range the site sits on, resulting in our DNS records being invalid. Unfortunately it was this morning before this could be rectified.

If anyone still can't access the site they will need to empty their DNS cache, this can be done in Windows by typing ipconfig /flushdns in a Command Prompt.

On MAC OS 10, the commands are slightly different, from a terminal window type the following:

OS 10.4 Tiger - lookupd -flushcache
OS 10.5, 10.6 - dscacheutil -flushcache
OS 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion - sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

For most Linux, restarting the Daemon should do it, type the following in a Terminal:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/nscd restart

Sorry about the hassle, should be the last of it for a while.
