C5 gearbox crunching

Hi all
Just bought a C5 estate 2.2 HDI 2004 old shape 6 speed
the problen is changing from 3rd to forth at high revs getting a slight crunching is this just an oil change in the box or more sinister ???
The car has only done 65k so shouldnt be worn yet ???
Any advise please

hi and welcome

firstly were is the clutch biting point,
secondly it wouldnt hurt to give the gear box an oil change,
but mind you only use a BV spec oil as this was formulated for PSA gear box's

the biting point is about a 1/4 from floor to bite
Is changing the oil something I could do limited knowledge or is it a trip to the local garage
