electrical fault (again)

Hi all,
does anyone have any clues to offer on another of my 97 xantia 2.1td's ever growing list of electrical problems. the blower motor is not working and the rear screen heater has also failed at the same time (all fuses ok). i have checked for a voltage across the fuses an there is power getting that far. i checked this as the last time the blower motor stopped working it was the supply feed from the main board under the bonnet. i have also checked the resistor unit on the motor and it seems fine.
any help is as ever appreciated.
