They didn't have one
I'm going to readjust and check mine properly over the weekend and if it is definitely faulty (I'm pretty sure it is) order one on Monday

Re: Where do I buy?
Well,
Set the idle correctly when the engine was fully warm (it was previously too high) and then when the engine was cold adjusted the waxstat cable so that the lever was pulled fully into the advance/high idle position.
The engine wasn't quite fully warm on the way home but the waxstat cable was still tight at this point, so it's looking like it is indeed faulty and I'll need to order one on Monday.

Re: Where do I buy?
There is not a great deal in them difference wise. I actually used a Renault unit on my 205, the cable was far too short but once I'd sorted that out it was actually better than the PSA one as it would rapidly open compared to a new standard one.
As they age they move less that's all up until they do not move at all or hardly. The easy setting method I find is to just do it with a warm engine, ensure when hot there is a bit of freeplay in the end fitting, the amount of freeplay you may adjust later if needed. Basically when its cold the next day just look to see how much its pulling the fast idle arm. I tended to have mine not quite fully pulled tight as it took too long to come off that way but each to their own.

Re: Where do I buy?
Finally got this fitted today
The old one was date stamped 10/93 so I'm guessing it was probably the original. It had been out before however as it had had sealant applied to it as well as the seal.
I fitted the new one with a new O ring seal from my selection box again
It's all working lovely now, I didn't check the new one but the old one was marked 40 degrees on the internal part. Sure enough it came off just before reaching the 60 degree mark on the temperature gauge.
That should help the cold starting/running and the fuel economy It's nice to have a proper idle speed when warm too. The engine sounds much quieter at tickover now
