Pug 308 - what does this button do?

Hello,

Got to go up to Sheffield on Monday, and annoyingly the company prefers it if you hire a car for business trips instead of using your own vehicle

So I'm lumbered with this 308 HDi and for whatever reason there's no owner's manual in the car (thanks Avis..)
In the driver's footwell next to the headlight level switch is a button that says "eco off", if I press and hold a yellow light appears and the dashboard screen tells me I've deactivated eco mode.

So what does eco mode do?

I have a feeling I'm going to miss the Xantia on Monday...

Most likely the climate control - turns the compressor on/off.

After a bit of a google it seems to control the stop-start system.

So shall be pressed!
