xantia 95 passenger side bulb not working

Unread post by jacksun1987 »

Its on the driving bream where it ant working. The dip lights and the full beam are working.
Its not the bulb changed it doesnt work. And its not the fuse.
Its the contact bit what connects to the fuse what is not working. I swap the fuse on to the other side works fine.
How can i get it to work. With out taking it in

thanks

Grab a multimeter or suchlike and verify that there is a supply at one pin (when the sidelights are on) and an earth at the other.

I'd suspect the earth has failed at a guess if you're sure the fuses etc are OK.

Are these on the L shaped stalk like a 406 ? , a bit of a pain to get to. Corrosion inside the holder would be my initial thought.

I had a headlight fail one side on my 406, turned out to be a wiring fault so I fitted a relay operated by the other lamp.
