C5 running well

Post by hdi_man »

just back from a 500 mile round trip down and up the M6 in my 58 plate C5 2.0 diesel. fantastic on the motorway, nice and quiet with the laminated glass, cruise control on, good stereo, comfortble seats and suspension, 45 mpg overall and thats with 3 people, fully loaded with a bike on the roof! what more could you want ? :-D

long may my trouble free motoring continue....

That sounds excellent, long may it continue. It's nice to waft along in the serene comfort of a Citroen, my recent trips up and down the motorways and across the Pennines certainly brought a smile to my face.

Its good to hear some good comments about your C5 ownership, as it doesn't seem to have been all good for you.

They are superb cruisers, mine spends most of its driven time at high speed on motorways and it always impresses. Im looking forward to driving it to France again, in a couple of weeks.

Hi had my C5 2.0 HDi (04 plate) for about 6 months now and after sorting out a few niggles when i bought it (thanks Chris), it has run fine ever since. just done 2 weeks in France and covered over 2000 miles, including 800 in 14 hours coming home, without any problem. Off to Belgium/France next Sunday and just feel confident that she wont let me down. All in all cheap motoring and great comfort as well (could just do with a little more power). I will have to save up for a 173 i think, or possibly a Peugeot 407SW 170 sport

Im pleased your C5 is still going well for you Simon :)

They are the ideal motorway cruiser, I have driven C5s to France a few times now and they always impress.
