Xantia: getting a bit of a rattle upon braking.

Post by aerodynamica »

After changing both ball joints and drop links the previous rattles were eliminated but now a NEW rattle has emerged! It seems to only happen at low speed under braking and I feel it most through my feet on the pedals. Any quick ideas what it could be before i investigate?

Gotta be the A-frame inner rubber bushes?

Also, the out of balance wheel vibation remains between 60-70, I notice the steering jerks around going over rough ground and it doesn't feel right - it's as if there's a steering damper that's not functioning - does the Xantia have a 'steering damper' of some sort?

Otherwise, it's still going very well. :-D
