hi guys,my gearbox in the estate getting a bit whinny,is it possible to fit hdi box in it and are gear ratios different.Or is there a 6 speed box out there that would work

Assuming it's a 1.9TD, you can fit the HDi 90 gearbox.
I wish there was a 6 speed box!

Possibly 5th, one of my 1.9TD's has a 90hdi gearbox and her top speed is lower.
Might be worth just changing the gearbox oil first.

Does it have to be a 90 bhp Hdi, as have a 110bhp Hdi gearbox available if needed.

110hdi gearbox is a ML5 so won't fit a 1.9TD
Would fit a 2.1TD though
