making a cover /guard for the rear height gubbins?? Xantia

Post by Timmo »

Afternoon guys,
having had to spend the morning yesterday under the back of the car looking for what the wife managed to break friday evening (last thing i wanted to do after having the snip on wednesday!!), i got thinking about making a cover for height gubbins out back,
after working out what was needed to be replaced and getting fed up with getting filthy, i sprayed a load of deghreaser and white spirit mix on it, left to soak in and have Pressure washed it off leaving a nice and clean section, got thinking about using one of the plastic 5L veg oil containers to make a cover for the lot under there, couple cable ties on the arb, slot for the control arm to go through obviously, but sort of cutting one side ogf the container and making a cover for the lot, couple of cable ties off the subframe brace etc to hold it in place, figured would make it a lot easier if i have to get under and work on it again as it will all be nicely greased up and Clean!!??

is it a viable thought or just a waste of time??
After All, I am the Cornish one!
