Any Parking Sensor Kit recomendations?

Post by rowanmoor »

Hi all,

I haven't been on here for years - I've just been lurking quietly on the XM forums.

However, we are thinking of getting a C5 MkII Estate for my wife. It is the 1.6 VTX+ so doesn't have the parking sensors and my wife wants some rear ones fitted as she has got used to them and regularly has to park in small (for the car) spaces.

I don't know if they have the wiring in place for the citroen ones, but looking at the price of the sensors it looks a bit expensive for the control box and 8 sensors to make it work even if the wiring is there. A £10-20 aftermarket one looks a much better deal if they are any good.

I see that there are holes in the bumper ready for the sensors, but I have no idea what size they are or whether the after-market kits come in different sizes. So:

Does anyone know what the hole diameter is on the bumper holes?
Can anyone recommend a good kit they have experience of?
If you know of a good kit where the sensors are a straight fit to the C5 bumper holes then even better...
Cheers,
Rowan.
