Particulate filter is in the middle of the exhaust system so a clamp at each end plus a couple of other pipes from memory. Make sure you have new clamps cos they have a habit of rusting solid and shearing off when you get some pressure on them. Its worth soaking in penetrating oil a couple of days in advance to make life easier when you do tackle the job. Lexia will be needed to reset the system once the new filter is in place.

1.6 dpf is NOT in the middle of the system, it is right at the front under the turbo, just behind the radiator .
Remove the under tray, take the front clamp off that holds it to the flexi section, Make sure that the stainless pressure pipe comes undone (they seize in ).
Undo, the two 10mm head heat shield bolts at the bottom of the shield, and if you bend it out, you will see a large clamp affair around the middle of the filter.Undo the 13 mm head bolt, but not all the way.with a large screw driver/lever, gradually spread apart the upper section of the filte, and you will be able to wiggle the filter out. Take care as it is very dirty, and quite heavy, especially if it drops on your head :)
