Changing a windscreen on a 406

Post by cox377 »

Hello guys,

Cracked the windscreen on my 406 but I've got a perfectly good one on a scrapper. Anyone changed one before?

Thanks

James

I've done a 605. We sawed out the old screen with the wrapped type cutting wire and toggle grips, on the pillars and across the top. Bottom edge was knifeable.

It helps to have panel horses or similar around for cleaning up the reclaimed glass on.

before taking the cracked one from the car your useing i would either try removing or get a screen guy to attempt to get the one out of the scrapper,

as its not 100% it will come out in one piece
