Peugeot 206 1.9D air con

Can anyone out there tell me where I can find the 'Passenger compartment electronic thermostat' shown as 167 in the Haynes manual? Am I also correct in saying that the air blower should be in at least position 1 for the air con to work. I have overcome the air blower fault reported previously by bypassing the bad switch fan contacts in the ignition switch with a suitable relay so now have green light on A/C switch and blower speeds 1-5. Thanks in advance
