Citroen C5 No Power

Post by floggmolly »

I have a Citroen C5 1.6 Hdi 2005.
I drove around 25 mile in it this morning. The whole journey there & back there was plenty of power.
I parked up when I got home. I went out to it to go away awhile later and immediately going down the road I noticed that I had no power. If I plant the shoe to the full it makes an attempt to go and then dies down.
What could possibly have happened?
Please help

Turbo problem would be my first suspicion, Turbo's on these cars are not exactly renowned for bullet proof reliability particularly if the engine oil has not been changed regularly with the correct grade of oil, least ways that's my impression based upon what I have read from several sources.

BUT the only way to be sure is to get get it onto a Lexia which either by stored fault codes or examination of engine parameters should allow the problem area to be isolated as there are other bits which may also cause these symptoms.
