307 fuel filter

I serviced my friends 307 but Where is the fuel filter ? Its a 1.4 16v 307 its a 2005 car, Usually i expect it down by the back wheel but no sign, I followed the fuel pipe from the tank then it goes in a box section along the botom of the car ! Am i blind #-o

I seem to think the later one's don't actually have one. I know well what you mean, the metal / plastic (plastic better in most cases tbh) cannister near the rear wheel / fuel tank area. They sort of rely on the one in the tank now.

I'm not 100% sure on this but later 206 petrols for instance don't have one there anymore.

Peugeot stopped fitting fuel filters on petrol models about 2001.
