Under what circumstances?
If a window is open a light breeze can trigger the volumetric alarm.

I had this problem and it turned out to be the drivers seat belt slowly returning. Could be an hour before the belt decided to retract.

Try pressing the button to disable the interior sensors (you need to press and hold the button until the amber light appears) and see if it will sit with the alarm without going off. That way you can atleast pinpoint it to an interior sensor or perhaps something like waynedance suggested.

Belts in C5s suffer from slow retraction after a while.
A good clean sometimes does the trick.
Spraying them with a silicone spray helps but may have detrimental effects on the webbing.

I did not until I saw it happen, in the end pulled out all the belts fully and trapped them in the door so they were on the outside of the car and jet wasted the belts as they were dirty. The drivers belt now goes back fully straight away and alarm never gone off again.

If I had not seen the belt moving back after the car had been sitting for some time I would have thought it was faulty interior sensors.

Belts get sticky and dirty with constant use, a bucket of soapy water and a sponge can cure this. Just pull the belt out to its maximum length and run the sponge up/down both sides of the belt. Leave them clipped into the buckles to dry and it normally sorts them out.
