Xantia seat lever

Hi, my drivers seat (Xantia), when sat in the drivers seat, right hand side , low down, there is a small lever. I have pulled it up and down and even tried the pump fitting on the end, NOTHING, it does NOTHING! Anybody tell me what its funtion is? sorry for the question. cheers Terry .

It should be a drivers height adjustment. The "pump" is just to extend the arm to make it easier to operate.

Sounds like the mechanism is broken.

If you try it when you are not on the seat it may work, but more than likely will drop back down again when you sit down.

Pop the plastic cover off the side and tightn the screws, it works on friction.
Although if you're 20 stone it may not like staying up.

Normally when it is really loose you end up bashing your head on the ceiling as you go over hump back bridges

Ooh! Another little job for me then. Though I have to admit I rather like the "fun fair ride" going over bumps.
