Advice on jobs needing to be done please.

Unread post by Diabolical »

To stop my CX GTi t2 obsession I've decided to carry out much needed jobs on my Xantia 2.0L TCT Estate.

First job carried out 'replacing Ant-Sink Sphere' ( rear end still drops) not to much trouble.
Advice needed for others.
Replace Auxiliary belt & tensioner, any pitfalls or special tools needed?
Noticed HP Pump is weeping LHM, need to replace seals I guess before it drips on Alternator.
Best place to buy seals, part numbers, if I'm correct on what it needs and fitting advice.

Many more but not essential as yet. Other than heater Matrix of course.

Thanks all. David

Be interesting to see if replacing the rear "Anti Sink Sphere" really does cure it! Because strickly speaking, its got NOTHING to do with the anti sinking, its more a rear brake reserve sphere. The anti sink valve is all that controls the sinking.

I have an L reg TD SX anti sinker Xantia, and the "Anti sink SPhere" has never been changed. She doesn't sink though!

I've come to the conclusion that must be the case also, never mind another job to sort out.
