Power in boot

Post by Pirate »

Hi Everyone
Is there anywhere in the boot of a Citroen C5 on a 02 plate you can get power to connect a cigarette lighter socket to run a cool box

Thanks

I ran a wire from the fusebox next to the battery (using a vacant fuse slot and a 20A large fuse) down the underside of the car and back through a convenient grommet on my 2000 Xantia. Coolboxes tend to draw 5Amps+ so any exisiting wiring is unlikely to stand up to that draw unless it's specifically for a power socket, which if there isn't one already I'm guessing isn't there?
