Here's one for the boffins.
I have received the HDi calipers bought from GadgetGricey and they (inevitably, after twelve years in the UK) need a refurb. There is a sample of their original finish under the handbrake boots; I am not sure if its cadmium or passivated zinc.
I'm assuming their parent metal is large and soft enough that hydrogen embrittlement is not an issue. Would anyone care to comment on this presumption?
