c5 exterior trim removal?

Post by C5Alan »

ok need to take a few bits off the c5 to paint and tidy up these include

rear bumper trim
front bumper corners
wing mirrors
drivers head light
grill

Just want to sort out a couple of marks done to her by the local parents trying to park to get little timmy as I live near a school so have received some battle scars and they just drive off. Have sorted a rattle can of the right colour so should be too much of a job I hope lol

I found the headlights quite easy to access. I had dropped the bulb retaining clip and had to remove the unit to see where it went and replace it.

I did unnecessarily unclip the bits of trim presuming there would be fasteners behind them.

I tried removing one of the front bumper trims on a C5 after my sister had a fight in her C5 with a wall. Though I couldn't remove it, even after it had a battering, I just managed to clip it back into place as one of the clips had popped out. Bloody tough bumpers on C5s!

on all of them you need to pop them out from the middle of the car i did get a couple of stcu clips but a giggle with a small screw driver pushed down the clip enough to get it out
