Auxcillary belt snapped

Hi, my Fathers 1997 Xantia, the Auxcillary belt has just snapped ! He is 30 miles from home. can he drive it back without causing any damage :oops:

NO! :shock:

There will be no brakes, no PAS, no suspension. The hydraulic pump which powers all these, drives from the aux belt.

i would not even start the engine untill you have checked inside the cam belt covers for any strands of aux drive belt waiting/lurking to cause mischief with the cam belt,
