C5 clutch, duel mass f/wheel needed asap

hi all i am in need of a clutch and a duel mass f/wheel for my C5 hdi vtr 54 reg face lift . can any body tell me of a good outlet for parts i have looked at ebay but i think i might get it a bit cheaper for a full kit so if any one knows of one can you please let me know.. and can you also tell me were i can find the engine code

Windacomponents are a very good source of parts, usually manufacturer grade or similar at decent prices. You won't find one very cheaply though, they are a bit exensive.

cheers mate do you have the tell number for them and as we are both north east lads do you know of anybody that will fit it at a good price ( you how it is mates rates )

Actually im not sure on the engine code, your reg and/or chassis number should be enough to get you the right parts.

I think I paid about £400 for the parts alone. Then easily £200-£300 for fitting, plus gearbox oil and oil seal.

Mine was done by someone in Hartlepool, very good garage who I use for some larger jobs which I don't want to do myself. He gives me a good deal as we have sent a lot of work his way, but you could ask for a price, especially since he has done one ... PM me if you want their details.

luc duel mas fiy wheel £275 from sewells in billingham
fitting £120 from a mechanic in norton

Fitting £120???

You're robbing him blind - I've changed one of these and it's a right PFD. If it's an estimate, be perpared for it to rise. If it's a fixed quote, be prepared for corners to be cut.... I'd pay £120 to watch him do it in 4 hours!

Good prices though, I paid £400 for the clutch kit and DMF too, the DMF was LUC (which is original equipment) and the clutch kit was genuine Citroen bits. I paid slightly more labour than you have been quoted ...

GSF, about £250 + vat for the lot, fitted one last week. The 1.6 HDI is a right pita to change, defo worse than the 2.0, I would charge at least £300 to do either, not a nice job.

£250 for the DMF and full clutch kit? Seems cheap.

Are the 2.0s you have done the 2.0HDi 16vs or the earlier 8vs? I thought the 8vs were easier, though have not done any myself!

£120 labour? I don't do fiestas for that! There's got to be lots of easier ways of earning £120 than doing a c5 clutch and dmf. The 1.6 hdi citroen/peugeot setup is the devil's work. I think the designers had been at the Ricard the day they came out with that.
